Mattel, Marvel, Disney, Snoopy, Hasbro, Peanut & Barney
Introduction
I’ve been working in brand licensing with Plastic Industries Corporation CIPSA. Some promotions and products to attract customers who are loyal to the supermarket to increase revenue sources, enhance company image, and sell more of their core products.
Licensing is the process of leasing a legally protected (trademarked or copyrighted) entity – a name, likeness, logo, trademark, graphic design, slogan, signature, character, etc. The entity, known as the property or intellectual property, is then used in conjunction with a product. Licensed products have several advantages over their own brand cousins. The major and obvious benefit you get by signing a license is the power of that brand behind your product. Many brands will have a huge marketing spend and come with a built-in loyal following as well as great consumer insight. These things take many years to develop and lots of investment.
